I am employed. Holy crap. I. Am. Employed.
20 hours a week. 20 flexible hours a week. The pay is way more than I imagined it would be. They were impressed that I can type. (Do people NOT know how to type these days?)
I start Monday.
I've got to go buy some pants this weekend. 12 years of staying at home in your sweats does not actually build up much of a working wardrobe. Wearing shoes daily is going to be an adjustment as well.
I'm totally up for this. I am ready. I am excited.
I need to hug my Aunt Janet's neck.
Oh my gosh. I have a job.
I was born a semi-diva. I married a redneck. Through the magic of osmosis or just because of a serious lack of sophistication over the years I have found a balance of the two that make me who I am today. And then I write about it all, much to the chagrin of my mother.

Woo Hoo!!! And I know what you mean about the SAHM wardrobe. You should have seen me this time last year peering into my closet and scratching my head.
That's terrific! Tell us more about what you'll be doing! Have fun! Woo-Hoo, a paycheck for You.
Prayers were answered for you a job BUT the timing prayers were a little off...haha...
I am thrilled for you and your family because I know an extra income will help greatly.
Hopefully, we can plan a visit that will work out with everyone coming down!
Love you bunches,
Tracy
Congratulations. Good luck. Take homemade cookies the first day. And an apple for the boss. First impressions and all that you know.
Don't worry that nobody will like the newbie and having to train you. You're probably making more than some that have been there for ten years, but they will understand.
Oh, and the woman that doesn't have kids? She won't be bothered when you take off to care for yours.
And your blog won't have any impact at all about what people think about you.
There: did that bring you down???
:-)
You will do wonderful!
But I will miss your quantities of posts.
Mark
