What is the best way to ship cookies through the mail? I've never done it before, but I am going to make and send cookies to the guy that did the blog beauty contest. He's in Alabama and no, he's not a 55 gallon drum killer. He's a DJ and he's really nice.
Thanks!
K

I have found that the best way is to put them in a box, seal it, address it, add postage, and let the postal system take care of the rest.
You can not send them individually because the stamps will not stick on them very well.
Any more questions?
Love you!

On a more serious note…………….use a box that the cookies fit into snugly.
If there is “extra” space they will move around and break. You should probably
put a layer of wax paper or parchment paper between each layer to keep them
from sticking together. On the top if there is extra space I would put a layer of
wax paper and them fill in with crumpled paper towels to act as a shock absorber.

I was born a semi-diva. I married a redneck. Through the magic of osmosis or just because of a serious lack of sophistication over the years I have found a balance of the two that make me who I am today. And then I write about it all, much to the chagrin of my mother.

Your mama makes me proud. She can be in my gang anytime!
Diva's "note to self:" Do not ship them in a 55 gallon barrel.
Anna-She's something else, that's for sure. She taught me everything I know!
Kara-Oh gosh she IS! Then when you put her, ol Taterbug and me in the same room, look out - it gets worse!
HillbillyMom-I have a list on my computer armoire of your "Diva's note to self" offerings. They come in handy in day-to-day life. Maybe you should write a self-help book!
You can always make lots more cookies & send them in a 55 gallon drum.
